skos:definition """GEMINI 3 was the first manned Earth-orbiting spacecraft of the GEMINI series. Its primary objective was to demonstrate the manned qualifications of the GEMINI spacecraft. A synergistic effect of zero-g and radiation on white blood cells experiment, a sea urchin egg growth under zero-g experiment, and one technological experiment were conducted. Several of the photographs taken by the astronauts were later considered suitable for synoptic terrain studies. After 5 hours, the spacecraft successfully reentered the atmosphere and landed 60 n.m. (111 km) from the target area.
