ALKALINITY
DÉFINITION
- The alkalinity of seawater is the combined negative charges due to hydrogen carbonate and carbonate ions expressed in molal concentrations. Alkalinity is based on seawater being electrically neutral and is determined by titration (and therefore given the subscript t).
