PALACE FLOAT
DÉFINITION
- PALACE FLOATS measure profiles of ocean salinity and temperature. Measurements are made as the floats ascend to a drifting horizon. They do this by changing their buoyancy internally. Periodically, the floats rise to the surface, where the data is transmitted via satellite.
