DÉFINITION
- A sudden motion or trembling in the Earth caused by the abrupt release of slowly accumulated strain in the Earth's lithosphere.<BR> An Earthquake Advisory may report on earthquakes occurring in a particular region and define areas most vulnerable to earthquake damage.
