SOLAR RADIATION STORMS
DÉFINITION
- Caused by solar flares, radiation storms are made up of photons, electrons, and protons. Protons take the lead in these storms, posing much more danger to those not protected by the Earth's magnetic field. They cause damage by breaking chemical bonds in genetic material.
