IKAR
DEFINITION
- The Russian Space Agency (RSA)'s Priroda is an attached payload for RSA's Space Station MIR. It carried 15 microwave radiometers, called IKAR (Multichannel Microwave Radiometric System),covering the frequency range from 5 to 90 GHz. IKAR also has a channel at 13 GHz which measures 3 Stokes parameters for sea surface and vector wind speed determination. [Summary provided by CEOS]
